The term "Esoteric" means "intended for or likely to be understood by only a small number of people with a specialized knowledge or interest".

The concept of the "esoteric" originated in the 2nd century with the coining of the Ancient Greek adjective esôterikós ("belonging to an inner circle") and the term "Esotericism" thus came into use in the wake of the Age of Enlightenment and of its critique of institutionalized religion.

In the West, Esotericism has pervaded various forms of philosophy, religion, art, literature, and music, continuing to affect intellectual ideas and popular culture.

Esotericism studies can include Gnosticism, Yoga, Alchemy, Magic, Spiritualism, Hypnosis, Astrology, Meditation, Mysticism, and Occultism.

Christine Morgan, is the Chair / President of the Lucis Trust, an organization that promotes the education of the human mind towards recognition and practice of the spiritual principles and values upon which a stable and interdependent world society may be based.
