Major League Baseball's Legacy project is an initiative that benefits the community through projects and monetary donations across the city. As a part of All-Star Week in Denver, approximately $5 million will be donated by MLB and the Rockies.

The baseball and softball fields at John F. Kennedy High School were deemed unplayable due to surface conditions. MLB, the Rockies and other partners joined together to refurbish these fields, once again making them safe to play on and creating a point of pride in the Bear Valley community.
