Mahindra XUV 700 is about to get a faceliftin India. Called the XUV 7XO, the updated SUV will launch on January 5, 2026. It will have several design updates and feature additions over the outgoing SUV. Expect a revised front fascia with a new grille, redesigned LED headlights and DRLs, and new bumpers. It will also have new wheels, slightly redesigned LED tail lamps, and an improved rear bumper design.
Inside, the design, materials, trims, and overall experience will all improve significantly. The new model will come with XEV 9e and 9S-like interior design and equipment array. It will get the triple-screen cluster, comprising three large 12.3-inch screens that we see in the 9e and 9S.
The Sony 3D surround sound system of the pre-facelift model will be replaced with a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos. We have seen this setup on the Electric Origin range. In addition to these, it will have features like wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charger, ventilated seats, dual-zone climate control, level 2 ADAS, and most features of the pre-facelift model.
The 7XO will use the same powertrains as the outgoing model. Two engine options will be available- 2.0L turbocharged petrol (mStallion) and 2.2L turbocharged diesel (mHawk). The power and torque outputs of these will remain unchanged as well. Both manual and automatic transmissions will be offered.
Renault Boreal

Renault will launch a three-row version of the upcoming (third-generation) Duster in the second half of 2026. It will be called the Boreal. This seven-seater will have notable design differences from the Duster and will be larger as well. It will source its engines (1.2L mild hybrid turbo-petrol and 1.3L turbo petrol) and transmissions from the five-seater.
The cabin is expected to be modern and feature-rich. The Boreal will borrow most of its equipment from the five-seater Duster. Expect to find twin 10-inch screens, a panoramic sunroof, premium sound system, Level 2 ADAS and more.
