When it comes to travelling to Konkan during the day, the people's first choice is the Jan Shatabdi Express. It operates daily between Mumbai & Madgaon and is one of the fastest trains. During the monsoon, the timings are different. It originates at Mumbai CSMT at 5:10 am and terminates at Madgaon Junction at 4:30 pm. It has three classes of travel, which are Second Sitting (2S), AC Chair Car (CC) & Vistadome (EV). It halts at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, Kudal, Sawantwadi Rd, Thivim & Madgaon.
