Mission Vista vs. Brawley, CIF D4 Final, 3/4/16

Both teams were making their first CIF title appearance. Mission Vista opened in 2009 and Brawley joined the San Diego Section in 2000 after being apart of the Southern Section.

Brawley is about 100 years old and has a rich athletic tradition including the second oldest continuous football rivalry in the state with Calexico and Central Union.

And the Wildcats are not bad at wrestling.

But this is basketball and Mission Vista proved too much for the Imperial Valley school.

And this ain’t your NBA Timberwolves as senior Burke Twyman had a big day scoring a game-high 26 points and freshman brother Cade had 6 points.
