Nashville actress and musician Caitlin Nicol-Thomas and Al Olkari served up a fantastic opening act for the first concert of the season.

Caitlin Nicol-Thomas is an original singer/songwriter/violinist with a fresh writing style rooted in the values of the Midwest and blended with the progressive ideals of the Northeast. Her alternative, folky blues sound is accented by her refreshing vocal style that is both strong and achingly vulnerable. Caitlin Nicol-Thomas is known for The Song (2014), Rose from the Dead (2015) and Crazy All These Years (2016).

Lutsen-born pianist Al Oikari has played with an uncountable number of musicians up and down the North Shore but is best known for being the keyboard player for the acclaimed ’90s jam band The Big Wu from the Twin Cities. Al shares stories of his time playing and touring with the band over the phone, getting into the ups and downs of the bands career as he prepares for their reunion show at First Avenue in downtown Minneapolis. https://wtip.org/archives/al-oikari-t...
