Here is a Electrohome 10" desk fan from the 1950s, before cleaning and oiling. These "Long Life" fans were extremely popular in Canada so there are still many of them around today. This instance is in great shape and runs as good as it did when new. I honestly think it'll be fine even if I don't service the motor, but eventually I'll get to that before I use it regularly. The original teal hammertone paint is almost fully intact, which is great to see on these older metal fans, as aluminum blades often tend to let go of the paint as it ages.
