इजराइल नेलेबनान की राजधानी बेरूत के इंटरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट को निशाना बनाया है। इसके अलावा बेरूत के अलग-अलग हिस्सों और घाटी में भी हवाई हमले किए है। इन हमलों में 40 से ज्यादा लोगों की मौत हुई है, वहीं 50 से ज्यादा घायल हैं। रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक हमले से पहले इजराइली डिफेंस फोर्सेस ने एयरपोर्ट और उसके आस-पास के इलाके को खाली करने के लिए कहा था। बेरूत में हमले के दौरान IDF ने हिजबुल्ला के कमांड सेंटर और हथियार डिपो को निशाना बनाने का दावा किया है। इससे पहले मंगलवार देर रात भी इजराइल ने लेबनान के बारजा शहर में एक अपार्टमेंट बिल्डिंग पर एयरस्ट्राइक की थी। इसमें करीब 30 लोग मारे गए थे। हमले से पहले IDF ने कोई चेतावनी भी नहीं दी थी। इजराइल के मुताबिक इस इलाके में एक बार फिर हमास के आतंकी इकट्ठा होना शुरू हो गए हैं।
