This video and article aim to be a guide for choosing a board product for your CNC machined tooling application. You will probably be looking to get the most value - so paying for density or temperature stability or CTE that you don't need makes no sense. This should help narrow it down.

These samples represent some of the common types and densities of board product used for composites tooling. These specific products and manufacturers are based on what scraps and samples I had around. Many manufacturers supply very similar sets of products and many can be substituted for each-other. What you use will probably have more to do with what you can buy easily and economically!
