The Chester Fritz Library, the heart of academic life on the UND campus, is completing a renovation in the spring of 2021. The first major update to the building since 1981, the Library has new, modern study spaces, group rooms and research areas. https://library.und.edu/

The Reading Room (also known as the Fishbowl to UND students) has a variety of individual and group areas, with whiteboards, flexible space and a fireplace.

New entrances on the North and South side are more accessible for all users and open directly into the space. A skyway will connect to the new Nistler College of Business & Public Administration.

The Knowledge Commons can help answer questions, check out material or assist with research. There are one-on-one rooms for consultation with library or other campus offices, which will have a satellite location in the Library.

The Library is also now home to UIT, the Writing Center, and a new AI/VR Lab, where students can design and test 360 and virtual reality software. There is also the One-Button Studio, a 3D printing space, Special Collections, new conference rooms and a vending area when you need a study break.
