1. 9 15 12 SWISH TO CROWD A full house, sixty thousand fans, in San Franciscos Kezar Stadium for a day of decision in the western division of the National Football League. The invading Baltimore Colts can assure themselves at least a tie for the League play off game if they can defeat the 49ers.

3. 24 40 21 PLAY INTERCPT T.D. This day, San Francisco is going nowhere. John Brodie is back to pass--trying to catch Baltimores seven-nothing lead in the second quarter. But, the pig skin falls into the wrong hands. Milt Davis intercepts for Baltimore and behind some fantastic blocking threads his way fifty-seven yards to give the Colts a fourteen to nothing lead.
4. 28 46 6 CROWD The disappointed crowd is hoping for the best after the ensuing kick-off. Fullback J.D. Smith skirts his end to bring the ball to his own 35.

6. 42 70 16 PLAY,T.D. On the next play, he takes it again and burst through tackle. Theres no one there on the other side of the line and he dashes sixty-five yards to put the 49ers in the running again. Score : fourteen to seven at the half.

7. 52 86 16 INTERCPT. But thats as close as they come. In the third period, Shinnick steals another Brodie pass and the Colts are in scoring range again.
8. 58 96 10 PLAY Amazing Johnny Unitas fires one to Ray Berry who puts the ball on the eight.
9. 64 107 11 T.D. On the next play, Unitas fakes a pass and then runs for the score. The point after is blocked and Colts hold a twenty to seven lead.
10. 68 113 6 CROWD Theres one thrill left for the San Franciscans. The Old Man of the 49ers, Y.A. Tittle comes in to direct a drive for a score capped off by this 21 yarder to McElhenny. But, its not nearly enough. Baltimore goes on to score two more for a 34-14 win. A win next week will put them in the play-off for sure.
