Jumping right into the Blunderdome here, with the Fall Guys of old steadily progressing into the Fall Guys of today, slowly catching up as I make my mark in what is my first proper adventure into the new genre of 'Battle Royale', vying to be the top bean in a colorful world clashing with fierce competition for that glorious crown!
At long last, we say goodbye to what was my first (and perhaps, from a nostalgic point of view, my most fondly-remembered one of Fall Guys albeit not the one I would call the 'best' out of the whole lot in terms of quality, even if it's a pretty good one overall!) season starting off all those weeks ago!
Yet many months of progressive skillful gameplay lay ahead still, for now we enter the future and go all 'cyberpunk' in a time when the perhaps-inspired CyberPunk 2077 game was being dragged through the mud with all sort of performance issues, glitches and general letdowns of the sorts, and rightfully so for this new Season 4 (Legacy, sadly) of Fall Guys was quite the upstart in more ways than one!
For starters, this was the time when Devolver Digital, publisher of such classics as Enter The Gungeon, Hotline Miami, Katana Zero and other great indie games bid farewell to the joyful and colourful world of Fall Guys as, behind the scenes, dark matters were growing amiss although, at this point in time, the actual game of Fall Guys remained largely intact and unaffected... For now, that is.
Anyhow, that's a BIG topic for another time as here I showed off the old Season 3 boot-up screen as well as the wintery theme, background music and to make one last purchase in the store, gaining myself not just an epic Godzilla top but also perhaps one of the MOST iconic and popular emotes one can ever ask for here on Fall Guys:
The 'Honk!'
Indeed, what a way to go out as, upon returning shortly afterwards, all has changed on Fall Guys as that smooth music intro featuring Devolver Digitial with Mediatonic is now sadly replaced with a more barebones and basic Fall Guys face background, with Mediatonic on the bottom left corner and a very-much hated and despised (yet also highly popular all the same with the kids!) video game company and publisher known simply as Epic Games.
Yes, that one. I have a whole bunch of things to say about them but, for now, I'll keep it relatively light early on as you'd think, this early on, that they could only bring amazing things forward for the future of Fall Guys! (Oh, how hindsight can be a most terrible force of thought indeed!)
Ah well, after showcasing the Season 3 pass for one last time before the timer counted down to zero, a full reset happened mere seconds afterwards and, thus, bringing forth with it a whole new wealth of costumes and other fun items to unlock in the coming days and weeks, all in a new futuristic theme of sorts!
Not just that, but I also finally manage to properly catch onto the first sideshow of many, this one in particular being important as it showcases ALL of the new levels on offer for the Season alongside any potential finals at that! (Sorry to spoil, but alas this was the first Season to not have any, which is a bummer in it's own right, maybe less so for others but what it lacks in, well that's part of what I'll be discussing in the videos to come!)
Anyhow, enjoy my new fashionable (arguably the best thing 'fashion' wise that I have came up yet for my now-stylish bean here!) 'costume' of sorts as I make my first show for this new Season 4 known as I dare to press forward in all new seven levels featuring the cyberpunk future setting that this fine sideshow 'FG 4041' brings forth!
In any case, I hope you enjoyed the video and any constructive comments or criticism is appreciated!
