THREE 59 Chevy Bel Air's all at once!

Martin in his 59 Bel Air and Myself in my 59 Bel Air drove to Haney's, meeting Dave with his 59 Bel Air for breakfast. My brother had breakfast with us too. He was driving his wife's 2017 Challenger. Tom was there too, but was doing his work as a gardener.

Martin's Bel Air is an Arizona car he imported to Canada. It has a 283, 4 barrel with a Powerglide. Martin added Vintage Air and dual exhaust. It has the newer style power steering and a dual power brake system.

Dave's Bel Air was imported from Canada into the USA. It's a super solid fully modified Bel Air, powered with a 383 and a custom built Powerglide to handle the 383's power. Dave's goal is to trim it out with as much chrome he can. His Bel Air even has Oldsmobile 98 stainless roof trim installed. The metallic blue paint really looks amazing in the full sun!

Howard's Bel Air is in many videos here. It is my "first car" ,that I paid $75 for in 1978, with 58,000 miles. It sold new from Gene Merollis Chevrolet in East Point, formerly East Detroit, MI. The dealer is still there in business today, but under a different name. It runs a 250hp 348 4 barrel with a Muncie 381 three on the tree. I added correct power steering and power brakes from parts cars. The Bel Air has over 200,000 miles now!

Both Dave's and Martin's 59's are in my past videos. I have a past video with the Bel Air sitting in front of Merollis Chevrolet..... in one of the Harper Cruise videos from a few years ago. I suspect the car most likely sat in the big lot across the side street.... as thats the new car lot. The showroom and front lot, where I parked for that video, probably had higher end wagons, sedans, coups and for sure a convertible, a wagon and a Corvette in the showroom back in 59.

Tom is full time gardener. He does the gardens at Haney's, a former Howard Johnson, built in 1958, opening in 1959. A very retro building, with "must see awesome gardens" and great food. Open for Breakfast and Lunch Only.
