So, you bought a shiny new SUV and are now thinking you would like to go drive it in some mud? You paid extra to have yours nicely equipped with all of the factory off-road options. Do you think you are ready for The Cliffs? You'd better go for a ride-along first!

We walked in to the office to pay our admission, sign the waiver, and receive a poorly drawn map of the trails. I asked "which trail is for beginners? are the trails clearly marked?" Hah! This video is our group taking ~4 hours to complete what we are told is the easy trail: trail one.

Starting at 14:53 you'll see the two highest risk obstacles that we encountered. The frozen waterfall is at the end of the beginners trail. It was tempting to turn around and go back the way we came. The river crossing is where the ends of all the trails converge.

Thanks to Jim (my neighbor) from the Cars And Coffee Car Club for inviting me, and Noah for letting us ride in his black 4Runner. I'll buy you guys lunch.

Here is video produced by the guy in the white 4Runner. The only one in our group with a winch. He pulled out 5 stuck vehicles that day.

My 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Elite stayed in the parking lot. I need this car to get to work every day. I can't risk damaging it at The Cliffs. I'll get some mud on it....(hangs head in shame)....someday.
