In this video, you are going to see an Actually used MCCB aka Molded Case Circuit Breaker Unboxing from the box and We are replacing its top Operating handle with another one. You might hear the name MCCB first time in your Study books and this is actually what it looks like. while I was studying I was unable to imagine what it actually looks like and everything but after working in the industry I realized what it actually looks like its function and its difference from MCB.

MCCB Model name: ABB SACE T max

Difference between MCCB and MCB:

1. MCB (Miniature Circuit breaker) is small in rating compared to MCCB (Molded Case Circuit Breaker).

2. MCB just provides protection against Overload and Short Circuit while MCCB Provide short circuit, and overload protection with variable current settings feature along with Earth-Fault Protection (protection against Earth Leakages).

3. MCB has a fixed Value of protection but MCCB has variable Protection values (As Explained Above)

4. MCBs are cheaper to manufacture while MCCBs are Very Expensive. (with Great protection comes great purchasing cost! LOL!)

5. MCBs are available for a single phase and three phases while MCCBs are only available for Three phases ( as three-phase requires high protection)
