10 national that you can’t resist
African countries' national anthems have a distinct history. The majority of these anthems were written and performed after colonial rule. Anthems frequently show the Janus face of nationalism, which is a dual focus on the past and the present. They also express a number of resounding ideas that are in conflict with one another. Most countries have an anthem, which is defined as "a song, as of praise, devotion, or patriotism"; most anthems are in the style of marches or hymns. As creations of the late colonial period and the early years of independence, the primary themes of these anthems have strong connections to anthems of previous colonial powers. Here are the top ten African national anthems. Please take a few moments before we continue to like this video, comment on it, and subscribe to this channel.

Namibia, " is Namibia's national anthem, which was adopted in December 1991. It was written by Axali Doseb, the director of a Kalahari desert traditional music group. Doseb was chosen to write it after winning a competition held shortly after Namibia gained independence in 1990. Namibia and South Africa once shared an anthem. It was later decided that Namibia needed a unique anthem, so a national competition to compose a new national anthem was held. Axali Doeseb won the competition with her song "Namibia, Land of the Brave."

The anthem, which replaced the previous national anthem, "Nigeria, We Hail Thee," was adopted in 1978. The lyrics are a mash-up of words and phrases from five of the best entries in a national competition. The Nigerian Police Band, directed by Benedict P. Odiase, set the words to music. P.O. Aderibigbe, John A. Ilechukwu, Dr. Sota Omoigui, Eme tim Akpan, and B.A. Ogunnaike wrote the lyrics for the Nigerian national anthem.
