Moving to a closing set of questions, Father Josiah Trenum, you mentioned Benny Hinn and others that are either in holiness, Pentecostal, or charismatic congregations, one of which I came out of. How do Orthodox view the strengths and weaknesses of these heirs of the Azusa Street revival in the early 20th century? That's a wonderful question. I would say with mixed feelings and with some suspicion, but let me start with the positives. First, I think historiographically, the rise of the Charismatic movement as the powerful 20th century Christian movement is very much a reaction to the fossilisation and the rationalistic tendencies of Protestant scholasticism. So, following the Protestant reformers and their confessional ossification, Christianity became in these movements very much a matter of the head. This is very much still the case for Calvinism. Calvinism is a tight rational system and that draws many people who are looking for substantial reason. It draws many people to Calvinism. However, the development of the heart is not so developed in Calvinism.
