In this episode of Digital Domination I cover the basics of Twitter and how small businesses can use it:

Twitter, tool you can use a lot
Each channel has its own cadence/rhythm
Twitter can be the most active
Impossible to post too much
Ideal = 8/day for most businesses
Other platforms can’t post as much, can also post a lot on snapchat and instagram story

Great experimenting ground
Because can post so often, don’t have to worry about post being perfect
Idea for a brand story/post …
Check which tweet has the most favorites/likes
For example for a restaurant, look at pic on menu and see which one gets most pics/retweets
Cosmetic … before and after, see which ones get the most engaged

Not best monetization platform, not the best to post links to get new clients
Best for testing new ideas, and getting a lot of volume out there
Can post all at one time and apps will time release them

Every business should have one
Even if twitter isn’t something that will drive a lot of new customers
But it ranks high in google, so when people google name twitter will show up on the first page
It ranks well in organic search results

For example one thing when I’m going to use a company, I google them
If there twitter feed hasn’t been updated for years, it looks bad
