STORYLINE
About 300 Palestinians waving Palestinian flags scuffled outside Jerusalem's Old City with dozens of Israelis marking 'Jerusalem Day.'
The day commemorates the anniversary of Israel's capture of east Jerusalem.
Police arrested 10 Palestinians for gathering in an illegal demonstration and causing public disorder, an Israeli police spokesman said.
The city's eastern sector is home to the Old City, where key Jewish, Muslim and Christian holy sites are located.
Many Jews celebrate 'Jerusalem Day' for "reunifying" the city they yearned and prayed for.
Thousands flock to the city to wave flags and dance outside the Old City.
For Palestinians it's a sombre day.
There was heavy police presence to guard Jerusalem Day marchers in the parade scheduled to go past a Palestinian area of the Old City.
