There are many different types of whiskeys produced around the world, including Sinlgle Malt, Rye Whiskey, Single Pot Still Whiskey, Grain Whiskey, Blended Whiskey, Blended Malt, Corn Whiskey and Tennessee Whiskey.
The four most common Irish types of whiskeys are Single Pot Still Whiskey, Single Grain Whiskey, Single Malt Whiskey, and Blended Irish Whiskey.

My favourite Irish Single Malts are Dunvilles 12 old Single Malt finished in PX sweet sherry cask, Jack Ryan Sherbourne, 5 years old Single Malt finished in Oloroso Sherry Casks and Killowen 5 years old Single Malt finished in dark Rum & PH Sherry cask.

Single Malt means that whiskey was made by single distillery and was produced from 100% malted barley. Single Malt Whiskey is usually distilled in a pot still.

My favourite Single Grain Irish Whiskey are: Method of Madness Single Grain finished in Virgin Spanish oa, Teeling Single Grain matured exclusively in American red wine cask and Two Stacks, 12 years old Single Grain finished in Rye cask.

Single Grain Irish Whiskey is typically made from maze (corn), wheat, and rye. Single Grain Whiskey is distilled in a column still in a single distillery.

My favourite Single Pot Still Whiskey are: Power's John's Lane 12 years old Single Pot Still Whiskey, Dingle Single Pot Still Whiskey matured in Bourbon and Port cask and Redbreast Single 15 years old Pot Still Whiskey.

Single Pot Still Whiskey is distilled from a mash of a combination of Malted Barley, unmalted barley, and other unmalted cereals.
Single pot still whiskey can be either double or triple distilled. However, in most cases, Irish Pot Still Whiskey is tripled distilled.

My favourite blended Irish whiskey are Bushmills Black Bish, Dunvilles 3 Crowns, and Two Stacks, The First Cut Complex blend.
