In this video Dario Napoli talks about the determining factor in achieving the authentic gypsy jazz guitar sound on "la pompe" rhythm guitar, as well as on lead (single notes). Gypsy jazz guitar is not all about the right hand, infact the left hand is equally, if not more responsible for the quality of your sound, and the strength of grip in the left hand is arguably the most important skill to develop to achieve the Django Reinhardt sound.
