Presented on Thursday 7 March at the Australian Plumbing and Gas Conference by Jarrod Irving from Australian Gas Infrastructure Group.

This presentation will explore the pivotal role that Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) envisages for biomethane and hydrogen in achieving our net-zero emissions targets. The production and use of renewable gas, such as biomethane and hydrogen can play an important part of the energy transition. Renewable gases hold significant potential for diversifying Australia's energy portfolio, through decarbonisation of the gas networks and hard to abate industries.

The focus of the presentation will extend into how we can support the growth of renewable gases, overcome challenges and harness opportunities that will help develop a sustainable, and cost-effective industry that can support resilience in the future integrated energy system.
