Finally, a Japanese serow (Capricornis crispus, family Bovidae) visited the snow-covered latrine under an evergreen tree of Japanese red-cedar (Cryptomeria japonica, family Cupressaceae) in the snowy mountain to defecate there after a long absence. The serow stood still without blinking eyes for a while, facing down the snowy slope, while pooping. Replayed with 150% digital zoom-in (@1:43-) to show you the fecal pellets dropping to the snowy ground between the hindlegs one after another. Captured with my old trailcam in the evening (around 19:50 PM) of late-January 2024 in Japan.
