CCSD says next year’s school budget shows $50 million less in school funding compared to the current year.

And it's causing some schools to have to budget out staff to make up for the difference.

At some schools, there are reports of several teachers, support professionals, and administrators being surplused, which means they are not being laid off, but instead have the option of getting a job at another school that has vacancies.

One of those teachers is Christina Radosevich.

"I'm still a little bit in denial about it. It's it's devastating," she said.

Radosevich just found out that she is being budgeted out from Thurman White Academy of the Performing Arts after teaching there for eight years.

"The principal came into my room and told me that I was the one being surplused in my department because I had the least seniority," said Radosevich.

Her story is not unique in the Clark County School District.
