A better and more accurate way to measure rocker.

My shaping at the Boardroom created a ton of questions about my methods. Once people saw me shape live, it opened their eyes to some serious flaws in the traditional way of measuring rockers. I measure and catalog all my shapes when finished so that I can perfectly reproduce that board any time in the future so having those numbers actually being correct is critical. If your numbers are wrong then there is no reason to actually write them down, wrong number mean nothing. I have always considered shaping to a tolerance of 1/8" acceptable since all the step downstream of the shape is at that tolerance. You certainly don't want your shape being the weak link in the process. BUT, do better.... I proved it this weekend that shaping rockers and foils to perfection is no problem even under a high pressure, timed exhibition environment like we had at the boardroom show. If every handshaper shapes to this level and has this accuracy of cataloging shapes for future reference then the sales pitch of cnc machine boards is no longer valid. I have nothing against cnc shaped (I own 3 machines) but I believe that handshaping is the core and should be the premium product in our industry.
