3. Be responsive and accessible. Don’t make team members wait for you. Be there for them.

4. Be honest and have integrity. People need to know they can trust you. One of the key attributes of a leader is being someone you would want to follow.

5. Always bring your A game. Always be the best you can be. Your team looks to you to set an example for how they should perform.

6. Set clear expectations. People should understand what you need from them and they should hear about it when they do well.

7. Listen to your team. Show employees that you respect them. You’ll learn from them if you listen.
