In this video we will understand Class 11 Physics Chapter 2 – Motion in a Straight Line with complete clarity, simple explanation and deep conceptual understanding. This chapter is extremely important for CBSE Class 11 NCERT as well as competitive exams like JEE Mains, NEET, CUET, NDA, CDS, State CET, and all Science based foundation exams.

Motion in a Straight Line is also known as Rectilinear Motion. When an object moves along a straight path, then all physical quantities like distance, displacement, speed, velocity and acceleration can be represented along one dimension (1D motion). This chapter builds the entire foundation of Kinematics, which is the science of describing motion without involving force.
