I'm down on the Airport road early to watch the arrival of the, first time to Belfast, arrival of the cruise ship Le Dumont d'Urville.
The D'Urville is the fourth in Ponant's six-ship Explorer-class of expedition vessels.
The ship is named after famous French explorer, naval officer and botanist Jules Dumont D'Urville. D'Urville 1790-1842, explored the islands of the West Pacific Ocean along with Australia New Zealand and the Antarctica.

Launched in 2019.
Like Ponant's other Explorer-class ships, the small, 184-passenger, 112 crew, liner has reinforced hulls for sailing in Polar Regions as well as a marina for when it's sailing in warmer destinations.

She also boasts a modern interior decor, with a bright interior lounges.

"Three cameras installed within the space project live footage of the surrounding marine life onto digital screens," while vibrating seating gives passengers a chance to experience the movement of the sea first-hand. The lounge features patented body listening sofas which are designed to vibrate. while mimicking the natural movement and rhythm of water.
