In this video I am going through some of the moves for backing a young Arabian gelding who suffered at the hands of another trainer. He struggles to trust. I am shaping his stand up for mounting with his willing participation. I am watchful of his emotions and his thresholds. He is free to leave but comes back when he is ready.
Training horses using no force or punishing techniques. Clicker training, counter conditioning and systematic desensitising following proven scientific protocol. The Science of Animal learning and behaviour gives me all the tools I need to train horses in a positive way being in attention to their emotions at all times.
Every interaction is training something and as such creates a memory. We train for and build in wonderful memories.
