Aerial footage above Wester Moffat in Airdrie showing the very first groundwork beginning on the future home of New Monklands Hospital 🏥

Right now it’s open land, early earthworks and long-term plans… but by 2031 this site is expected to become one of the most important healthcare hubs in North Lanarkshire. Alongside the hospital itself, new road connections are planned to improve access for staff, visitors and emergency services once the build is complete.

Strange to think that one day thousands of people will pass through here every year, and this footage will show what it looked like right at the very beginning.
