In Pursuit of Passive | Documentary

Описание к видео In Pursuit of Passive | Documentary

Buildings are responsible for nearly 40% of annual CO2 emissions, making sustainable construction practices more critical than ever. Passive House is a performance-based building philosophy and certification focused on designing and constructing better buildings that require dramatically less energy use for space heating and cooling.

In Pursuit of Passive follows the journey of constructing the first net-zero, Passive House in the Grand Tetons-Yellowstone region—one of the most challenging climate zones in the US. As it showcases what’s possible with green homes today, the film explains the Passive House approach to designing and constructing more sustainable buildings, highlighting the economic and health benefits for homeowners and the solutions it offers to the climate crisis. The film features insights from building and climate experts, including representatives from the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR), RMI, and Emu Passive along with the home’s designers, Lindsey Love and Lindsay Schack, co-founders of the sustainable architecture and design firm Love Schack Architecture.
