The temple town of Puri has been shaken by a brutal crime. A 19-year-old college student was allegedly gang-raped near the Baliharchandi temple under Brahmagiri police limits.

Police say the girl and her male friend were confronted by local youths who took photos, demanded money, and later tied up the boy while two of them raped the girl.

The survivor filed her complaint two days later, after recovering from trauma. Police have arrested three people, while a manhunt is on for the others.
