In a recent development in the Kerala nun rape case, the Supreme Court has dismissed the review plea by Franco Mulakkal seeking discharge in the case. The plea sought to exonerate him from all the charges. This was the final plea that was submitted by ex-Jalandhar's bishop Franco Mulakkal. The Kerala high court has also accepted the charges made by the prosecution in the case. All around 550 pieces of evidence have been collected from various parts of Kerala, the driver of Franco Mulakkal and other nuns. This case had stirred a controversy where a bishop had resigned over a sexual assault case.
