Flight Information: The aircraft was en route from Suvarnabhumi Airport near Bangkok, Thailand, to Muan International Airport in South Jeolla, South Korea.

Crash Circumstances: During landing, the plane's main landing gear failed to deploy, leading to a belly landing. The aircraft overran the runway and collided with a barrier, causing it to explode.

Casualties: Out of 181 occupants, 179 perished, including a 3-year-old child. Two crew members survived with injuries.


Investigation and Reactions:

Potential Causes: Initial reports suggest a bird strike during approach may have damaged the landing gear, contributing to the crash. Adverse weather conditions were also present.
