Joshua Duttweiler, Assistant Professor of Graphic Design, reflects on the important skill of being able to find information as a Graphic Design professional.

In 2019, Texas A&M University-Corpus Chrisi (TAMU-CC) developed the I-Know Digital Information Literacy Quality Enhancement Plan (I-Know). I-Know defines Digital Information Literacy (DIL) as the ability to find, evaluate, create, and communicate information effectively and responsibly, using the appropriate technology. I-Know teaches students DIL skills, while preparing them to navigate the future of digital information.

I-Know is a campus-wide initiative. This plan lays out an intentional, scaffolded integration of DIL into the TAMU-CC curriculum. Our amazing faculty partners discuss the importance of Digital Information Literacy within their specific disciplines.
