The Dutch copyright organization Buma Stemra organizes the annual Buma Awards, to recognize the achievements of Dutch composers, musicians and producers.

Many awards are presented on such an evening, with one additional award, presented to one person each year, recognizing their influence, contribution and impact to the Dutch Music Industry.

It is called the Golden Harp (Gouden Harp).

This year I was honoured to receive the Golden Harp for my efforts as a DJ and producer, resulting in Dance music as a genre being taken more seriously.

My live mixing, Grandmixes and remixes inspired more than one generation to become themselves a DJ, a producer, an A&R manager or otherwise make music their goal in life. These people are now in the world DJ top 5, the directors of record companies and key managers within the Dutch music industry.

I myself am thankful that my hobby (still feels like that) has become my profession, and that it still can support my family.
