You can make your own veggie burgers that are delicious and healthy. Don't know how to make them? Luckily, we've got our brilliant segment chef, Lee Kalpakis, to show you how to make them in the kitchen.

Recipe

Olive oil
3 onions, diced
1 shallot, diced
2 packages porcini mushrooms, chopped
1 tablespoon sage, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
Salt & pepper
1 lemon
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 cup quinoa
½ cup oats
1 large carrot, shredded
1 cup kale, chopped
1 can white beans, roasted until crisp
¼ cup arrowroot powder

Saute onions, shallot, and mushrooms in olive oil until browned. Deglaze pan with lemon juice and soy sauce. Add sage, garlic, parsley, salt & pepper to taste. Remove mushroom mixture from heat and combine with quinoa, oats, carrot, kale, beans, and arrowroot powder in a large mixing bowl. Let cool and form into patties. Fry patties in olive oil-coated cast iron pan on medium high heat until both sides are crispy.
