In this video I cover 10 cryptid legends from Atlantic Canada - the provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador.

Cryptids are creatures/animals/entities of folklore and legend whose existence has not yet been proven.
I find that no matter where you are on the spectrum of belief, learning about these stories can give you an interesting glimpse into the history and mythology of a given area.

In this video I cover the following 10 cryptid legends from Canada's Atlantic region. They aren't listed in order of importance:

1 - The Gougou of Miscou Island, New Brunswick
2 - The Ug Wug of Saint John, New Brunswick
3 - "Old Ned"/The Lake Utopia monster, New Brunswick
4 - The Green Hill creature of Pictou County, Nova Scotia
5 - The Cape Sable Serpent, Cape Sable Island, Nova Scotia
6- The Gabarus Mermaid, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia
7 - The Wiklatmu'j/Little People of Mi'kmaq folklore
8 - The Sluagh of Prince Edward Island
9 - "Cressie" of Crescent Lake, Newfoundland
10 - The Fairies of Newfoundland

There are other creatures I didn't get to into this video, perhaps another short video on this topic down the road.
