জাতীয় পরিচয়পত্রে দেওয়া ঠিকানা বদলে এখন গুলশান-২ এ ভোট দেবেন বাংলাদেশের প্রধান উপদেষ্টা অধ্যাপক মুহাম্মদ ইউনূস।ইসি সূত্রে জানা গেছে, এতদিন তিনি রাজধানীর মিরপুরে গ্রামীণ ব্যাংক কমপ্লেক্সের ঠিকানায় ভোটার হিসেবে নিবন্ধিত ছিলেন। তবে সম্প্রতি তিনি তার ভোটার এলাকা স্থানান্তর করেছেন গুলশান-২ এর নতুন বাসার ঠিকানায়।নির্বাচন কমিশন সচিবালয়ের কর্মকর্তারা জানিয়েছেন—ঠিকানা পরিবর্তনের ফলে আসন্ন ত্রয়োদশ জাতীয় সংসদ নির্বাচনে অধ্যাপক ইউনূসকে গুলশানের নির্ধারিত কেন্দ্রেই ভোট দিতে হবে।ইসি কর্মকর্তাদের ভাষ্য অনুযায়ী, মূলত চলতি বছরের ফেব্রুয়ারিতেই তার ভোটার এলাকা স্থানান্তরের আবেদন সম্পন্ন হয়। গুলশান থানার নির্বাচন অফিসে তিনি নির্ধারিত ফরম-১৩ পূরণ করে আবেদন জমা দেন। ১৭ ফেব্রুয়ারি নির্বাচন কমিশনের এনআইডি উইংয়ের মহাপরিচালক আবেদনটি অনুমোদন করেন, আর পরদিনই তথ্য হালনাগাদ হয় এনআইডি ডাটাবেজে।

Bangladesh's chief adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus will now vote in Gulshan-2, replacing the address given on his national identity card. According to EC sources, he was registered as a voter at the Grameen Bank Complex in Mirpur in the capital. However, he recently shifted his voting area to his new home address in Gulshan-2. Election Commission Secretariat officials said that due to the change of address, Professor Yunus will have to vote at the designated center in Gulshan in the upcoming 13th National Parliament election. According to EC officials, his application to shift his voting area was originally completed in February this year. He submitted the application by filling out the prescribed Form-13 at the Gulshan Police Station election office. On February 17, the Director General of the Election Commission's NID Wing approved the application, and the information was updated in the NID database the next day.
