Exploring The Historic Shipping Hub of Cerro Gordo - Keeler, CA!

Hello! This week I take a trip to the bottom of Cerro Gordo Road to explore Keeler, CA! Keeler was once the main shipping hub for all the ore coming out of Cerro Gordo. It once had a port, a railroad, multiple hotels, and more. These days, people pass right by it on the way to Cerro Gordo, or Lone Pine. But there's tons of history there if you just take the time to look! It's a small place with a big history!

I was able to talk to some of the people currently living in Keeler as well as the guys who have been working for decades to preserve part of the railroad that once ended in Keeler.
