In 1.18 where introduced pinch improvements, that makes pinch zoom in wayland pleasant to use, like in macos (Better gesture detection should reduce the amount of pinch gestures
detected as two-finger scrolling. https://lists.freedesktop.org/archive....

Before 1.18 it seems the pinch was recognized only diagonally from the left corner at the bottom to the right at the top.

But these improvements were lost 4 after a week after 1.18.0 version bump.

I found commit where its degraded via manual git bisect.
Old behavior reintroduced in b5b6f835af2e99b6a4e64fb0174ab551ed141763.
And this degraded behaviour still in main.

Last commit with 1.18.0 improvements is d5636eb934dba2f9d82255431e9dc23fc15200f6
