Transperineal Ultrasound - UVM Medical Center

Описание к видео Transperineal Ultrasound - UVM Medical Center

Dr. James Wallace, Health Care Services Lead/Radiation Oncology at the UVM Medical Center, describes transperineal ultrasound, a non invasive procedure that helps guide where the radiation is aimed before and during radiation treatment for prostate cancer. We use ultrasound because it shows soft tissue imaging in the prostate gland where we can't normally see it through x-rays. The procedure is non invasive and takes only about 10 minutes or so.
