i didn’t come to south america searching for ayahuasca or plant medicine. i wanted the full experience first: the landscapes, the people, the discomfort, the joy, the living. vilcabamba, ecuador has a way of meeting you where you’re at, and this morning felt like a threshold i didn’t plan, but was ready for.

this isn’t a guide, a promise, or a prescription. it’s a personal moment — what it felt like before my first ayahuasca ceremony, before intention-setting, before surrendering to the unknown. it’s about timing, trust, and letting experiences find you instead of forcing them.
