This suspension follows an agreement with authorities to deploy the 112 CRPF Battalion to the Saibol region of Lhungtin Sub-Division, Kangpokpi District. Despite the temporary relief, COTU has warned of further escalation if the remaining CRPF forces are not withdrawn within 48 hours. Tensions remain high as protesters clashed violently with authorities, injuring an officer, highlighting the ongoing unrest in the region.
