Here I am harvesting sunflower seeds. we grow sunflowers from seed every year. This is very easy and fun to do. It is also free and saves on packaging, shipping emissions and so is a very sustainable thing to do and good for the environment. In order to save the seeds just remove the seed head when finished flowering of course and store in a warm dry place. When it has dried out just remove the seeds as you can see me doing in the video. Sunflowers grow very tall and are easy to grow which makes them an ideas plan for kids to start out their gardening and growing journey. We give free sunflower seeds to schools every year.
