How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at our chain link removal tool from Feedback Sports. So this tool is gonna help you when you're out on the road and you have an issue with your chain. This is gonna allow you to make those emergency repairs until you get back home and get a new chain on your bike. You can see right here, our chain is broken and this will cause your chain to be shorter. So keep in mind that your larger gears are just gonna not be operable until you get back home to change it out. But we're gonna drop this guy on here and it's gonna remove the pin slightly from the inner link.

So we're just gonna let these forks here and just get some pressure on the plate. And now, we're gonna just use our handle and twist this guy out. We're just gonna kind of give it just enough where we can still reinsert it to complete our roadside repair. Alright, now that we have the pressure off, I'm still holding the chain with my hand. We're gonna pull this guy out.

So now, we're gonna take our flat side and just kind of sandwich it back, following the sequence of the links. And we're gonna take our rivet and just carefully insert it. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to hold that a rivet in place while I aligned it with the pin to reinsert it into our chain. And now, we're just gonna press it in to get as flush as we can just so we can get home. Now, again, this rivet is completely compromised and the plate's compromised as well.

So you're gonna want to change your chain out as soon as you get home. But that repair, it'll get you where you need to go in an emergency. Overall, the handle is really ergonomic and you can get a good grip to get a little bit of leverage to push those more stubborn barrel pull pins out. For your Shimano and SRAM chains, this is gonna go one to 12 speeds. You'll go up to 13 with the Campagnolo.
