STARTING TO SUBTRACT MIXED NUMBERS
This film is for easy-to-solve subtractions, like you get when you first start to study this in school.
In the third worked example we reduce a fraction to its lowest terms. This should not be new to you. If it is, please go back through the playlists on Fraction Essentials and Fractions Operations as you find necessary.

Example 2: Both need new common denominators
Example 3: denominators of 4 and 12. Final answer is simplified.
