We will be creating a custom hook in React JS to fetch a random user using an API, we will also be prefetching the user at the end of the video just by changing some values in our custom hook function. We will preserve the user data that we fetch and we can select the user name using the previous and next buttons. We will be highlighting the selected user in red color and show the user's image in UI. Clicking on next will fetch the new user as well as it can also navigate to the next user that is already fetched. We will be creating separate functions for the next and previous buttons and the logic will be discussed and explained. This custom hook can be reused in a different project with a different API URL. We will use useEffect hook and useState hook to create our custom hook. Our presentational component is clean if we use the custom hook and all the logic is abstracted in the custom hook which helps the readability of the code and maintainability also.
