Team Nila Celebrates International Volunteer Day (5th December 2021)

This Sunday (5 December 2021), we will be celebrating International Volunteer Day (IVD) with everyone by distributing care packs to hawkers, public transport service staff, and sport centre guest officers across Singapore.

To kick off the International Volunteer Day celebrations, we hope this Team Nila appreciation video encapsulates the passion and drive for giving that everyone has shown, especially over the past two years. Even in the absence of sport events and programmes, you all continued to contribute to national causes, joining mask and sanitiser distribution, raising funds, organising blood donation drives, and conducting virtual workouts for migrant workers in quarantine.

The International Volunteer Day celebrations come under the larger Team Nila Giving Marathon campaign that was launched earlier on 20th November. Themed #GiveAsOne, the Giving Marathon aims to rally the community to give back in a variety of ways, from volunteering at sport events to contributing to donation drives, over a non-stop 42 day period till 31st December 2021 (similar to the marathon distance of 42km).
