It was clear that his growth came with faith, strength and resilience. He uttered that even amongst the silence when things do not necessarily seem to be evolving, he is indeed "making moves" and "something is happening".

His first release, “Sade”, a love song which sampled the instrumental from One Direction’s “Story of My Life” came out in December 2014. His album, “Gold," released in July 2016, debuted at number 7 on the Billboard World Albums Chart, with all of its singles enjoying massive radio play.
He has performed in London and in the United States and has collaborated with acts such as Tiwa Savage (Nigeria), Simi (Nigeria), Sauti Sol (Kenya), Dela (Kenya) and Lil Kesh (Nigeria). In May 2017 Adekunle Gold announced his official band, The 79th Element. Comprised of some of the most well-known musicians in Nigeria, the 8-member band is named after the atomic number of gold.
